Eucommia ulmoides . A handsome, deciduous green shade tree without pests. Upright - spreading to broadly spreading with a broad rounded crown, often growing wider than tall at maturity. Medium Coarse in texture, moderately fast-growing to 45' tall. Bark is gray-brown, ridged and furrowed.

All but absent in the Albuquerque urban forest, yet reportedly performs well while add diversity/resilience to our urban canopy. Widely recognized for its pest-free foliage, drought hardiness, and extreme cold tolerance - is expected to thrive in our climate.

Commonly known as the hardy rubber tree, it is a small to medium-sized deciduous tree that is native to China. This tree is prized for its strong and durable rubber-like sap, as well as its ornamental value in landscaping.

The hardy rubber tree's leaves are unique in that they are the only ones that produce rubber in temperate climates. The leaves are simple and elongated, with a bright green color that turns yellow in the fall. The bark is also notable, with a distinctive corky texture.

The hardy rubber tree is known for its hardiness and adaptability, tolerating a wide range of soil types and growing conditions. It can thrive in full sun or partial shade and is resistant to many common pests and diseases.

In landscaping, the hardy rubber tree is prized for its ornamental value, providing both visual interest and shade. It is also a popular choice for urban areas, as it is tolerant of pollution and can withstand harsh environmental conditions.

While the hardy rubber tree's rubber production is not as extensive as that of tropical rubber trees, it still has commercial value and is used in traditional Chinese medicine for its health benefits. As such, this tree is not only beautiful but also culturally significant and economically valuable.

not better than manual……!!!!!
Do Not Buy This Product. this review is coming at 1 April 2026. This can opener was purchased in October 2025. My initial review was that it worked well and did the job. It was meant to do however, after a few uses, I noticed that the can opener continue to move around and around the can even after the can lid had been cut open. in January 2026 it began to make more and more rotations around the can and the lid was not cut loose. After a few more uses. It just rotated and did nothing else. I sent an email to the company. I contacted Amazon about it. I’ve done everything that I can possibly see to do but I get no positive results. Consequently, I have a six month old can opener. It does not work. worked well for the first 10 or 20 uses; then the cutting edge just wore out (3-4mos.), so now my money was wasted. No explanation no offer, too bad.

Don't waste money on this one
Ordered in January 2026. Worked good the first few times. Now it just rotates around and around the can but doesn't cut anything. I'm so disappointed because it failed shortly after my return window closed.

Easy to use! No more hand cranking.
If you like the ease of an electric can opener, but don’t have room to store it or don’t want to drag it out when you need to use it, this is for you. I like a handheld can opener, but would get so frustrated trying to use it and turn the handle. This can opener is amazing and so easy to use. Just attach to can and push a button. It starts turning on its own and when it is done it stops. You lift it up and the lid comes off cleanly. It is rechargeable so need to worry about batteries. It tucks away in a drawer nicely. I bought my mom one too. She has arthritis in her hands so thought this would be perfect for her.

Smooth edges better than twisting
Works a lot better than the crank style and the counter top electric and you can use the lid to reseal the can if you don't use the whole thing.
